| | Heinkel He-115 Bomber Plane | The Heinkel He-115 was a WW2 German Anti-Shipping floatplane bomber first flown in 1937, it was operated primarily by the Kreigsmarine and Luftwaffe against Allied convoys. The He-115 could be armed with mines, bombs or torpedoes depending on operational requirements. The main non German operators of the Heinkel He-115 was the Royal Norwegian Navy Air Service (RNNAS). |

It is of note that the RAF operated four Norwegian aircraft covert operations during the war which their Norwegian pilots flew to England when the Germans invaded Norway. The Norwegian aircrew flying the RAF Heinkel He 115 aircraft were in a very dangerous position as they were attacked by fighters from either side, one was shot down by Spitfires and another by German Bf-109's.
